After launching Quibit, users quickly left. The app was hard to navigate and frustrating to use. The founder realized he needed a better design to keep users engaged.

Project Scope

Although Quibit has many features such as News Feed, Blog, Category (Marketplace, Product, Ask Quib, Service, Info), Job Market, Profile, Search, and Chat, this case study will focus on one key area: the Product to avoid overwhelming you.

Design Process

Due to the nature of the project and its constraints, the design process was not linear. I worked closely with the founder and users to refine every step and ensure the final product met user expectations and was user-friendly.

Design Decisions

I conducted in-depth research and testing to identify users' pain points when interacting with the product and shared the findings with the founder.

However, we faced constraints that limited implementation. My design decisions were guided by both user research and those limitations.

Constrains & Trade-offs

Given Quibit’s early stage and limited budget:

Integrating with a delivery service was not feasible.

The company was not ready to implement a payment system.

Therefore, I had to make trade-offs and come up with a new plan, as shown in the design iterations below.

Final Design

The old process took over 10 clicks to place an order; now, it only takes 5. This solution not only cuts down on steps but also resolves shipping and payment challenges.
